Echoes of Love and Loss: Barnes, Lorde, and Baldwin in Literary Dialogue with Kate Soules In-Person

This talk will explore a few ways love and loss were expressed by queer writers of the 20th century. We will delve into how each author interprets these universal experiences through a queer lens, highlighting their enduring impact on literature and possibilities for thinking queerly.

Kate Soules is a PhD Candidate in English and the Dudley Doust Instructor Training Coordinator in the Writing, Speaking, and Argument Program at the University of Rochester. She has published pieces of creative nonfiction and poetry and teaches classes in writing, general humanities, gender studies, and 20th century American literature.
