Irondequoit Historical Society Lecture Series - Walk Through a Disappeared Downtown with Geoffrey Zeiner In-Person
If you have ever wondered what came before the buildings that we know about - and what people did within them - then you won’t want to miss this!
Join the Irondequoit Historical Society as we welcome Geoffrey Zeiner, the creator of an award-winning blog about the Rochester of yesterday, entitled ‘Gonechester.”
In his blog, Geoffrey researches and documents the cultural heritage that has been lost in Rochester.
During this presentation, he will use photographs, articles and primary documents to showcase several buildings in downtown Rochester that did not survive to the present. We will learn about Main Street as it used to be and the changes that have occurred. We will also learn what has been lost and what has survived.
Zeiner is a husband, and a father to two young children, Samara and Mason.
The Irondequoit Public Library is committed to creating inclusive and accessible events. To request a reasonable accommodation or discuss your needs, please contact one of our Inclusion Coordinators or call the library at 585-336-6060.
