Community Meeting & Presentation: Open World Ukraine “Helping Veterans Through Higher Education" In-Person

Please join us in welcoming higher education leaders, directors and government professionals from five (5) cities in Ukraine  (Lviv, Odesa, Poltava, Rivne, and Ternopil), who will speak about the current realities of war in Ukraine and their mission, through the Congressional Office for International Leadership COIL sponsored Open World program, to learn from our American experience how to help veterans integrate into society through higher education, community and veteran-focused organizations. They will share personal stories and speak about the challenges they face in helping veterans rebuild their lives and return to education and civilian life amid ongoing conflict.
Following the discussion, the Dnipro-Irondequoit-Poltava  “Wings of Inspiration” book will be presented to the OW delegation, The Ukrainian Cultural Exhibit at Irondequoit Public Library 10th Anniversary, and The Irondequoit-Poltava Sister Cities relationship initiated in 1991 and officially established June 29, 1992, will be recognized.
This event is being cosponsored by the Ukrainian Federal Credit Union, Ukrainian American Community Foundation, and Irondequoit Public Library.
