Judith A. Herbert, Certified Genealogist® has been a member of the Editorial Board of The Record, the quarterly peer reviewed journal of the New York Genealogical & Biographical Society (NYG&B), for the past seven years. Her genealogical book reviews have appeared in The Record and in the National Genealogical Society Quarterly. She specializes in records and research in New York, Connecticut and Massachusetts, from the Colonial period to the early twentieth-century. She teaches genealogy classes and is a guest lecturer for genealogical groups in the northeastern United States. She served as mentor for the ProGen 38 Study Group. Judith has been assisting clients with their research for over fifteen years. She lives in New York’s Capital District.
This lecture is intended for those who want to know how best to begin their family history project, those who have already done research but feel they are missing some of the basics, spending too much on genealogy subscriptions, or just need to refocus their efforts. We never know what we don’t know!
Participants have the choice of viewing this program in person at the Irondequoit Public Library or at home via livestream using Zoom. Registration required with an email address. Participants will receive an email with the log-in information for Zoom.
