Irondequoit Historical Society: History of the Irondequoit Beer Company and the Explosion of Microbreweries In-Person

Our story begins with an old hidden treasure on Titus Avenue. On the land where the Vercruysse Family once farmed with grit and sweat, a barn was sitting empty and unseen. This would become the site of the Irondequoit Beer Company.

Mike Nolan, I-Square owner, wanted to continue that tradition of taking nature’s harvest and produce something Irondequoit could be proud of. So, the little barn was purchased, brought back to life, and the first brewery in Irondequoit came to fruition.

Nate Kester, Irondequoit Beer Company's Head Brewer and Irondequoit resident, was chosen to create ten perfectly crafted beers for patrons to savor.

Leslie DiCesare, the Manager, has created a relaxed atmosphere to enjoy a beer, food and conversation.

Learn about the Microbrewery phenomenon and the history of the hidden treasure on Titus Avenue, which is now the Irondequoit Beer Company.
