Mindful Winter Wellness Series with Laura Gavigan In-Person / Online

During the winter, it’s not easy to feel energized and balanced. The weather and the darker evenings can all conspire to make us feel a bit gloomy and out of sorts. A lack of natural light can disrupt natural sleep patterns and make it harder to wake up in the morning. Looking for opportunities to be mindful helps find balance and ease through a Rochester Winter – even when you're not really in the mood for it!

This seasonal Mindful Winter Wellness series will introduce participants to the practice of mindfulness and learn several skills, including meditation, for managing stress. Each session (01/13, 01/20, 01/27, and 02/03) requires separate registration with an email address.

Participants have the choice of viewing this program in person at the Irondequoit Public Library or at home via livestream using Zoom. Participants will receive an email with the log-in information for Zoom.

Library programs are open and beneficial to all. We invite people with physical and/or cognitive disabilities to attend any of our activities and will strive to support individual needs. If you need accommodations to participate, please contact one of our Inclusion Coordinators, Matt Krueger and/or Amy Holland, one week prior to the program.

This program made possible by Legislative Initiative Funding provided by State Senator Brouk.
