Ida Tarbell: A Muckraking Journalist with Professor Mark Sample In-Person / Online

To commemorate Women's History Month, join us to learn about a female journalist who walked her own path and changed history: Ida Tarbell. Tarbell was one of the most famous journalists for McClure's, an important US magazine in the 1890s-1920s. It was staffed by muckraking journalists who pointed out the ills of society. Tarbell wrote a history-making expose and book about the bad business practices of John Rockefeller's Standard Oil Company.

Mark Sample is a professor in the History department at Monroe Community College.
