All About Eclipses! In-Person

Want to expand your knowledge base on the Who, What, Where, When, and Why of Eclipses? If so, this is your presentation. Irondequoit is going to be in the “path of totality” for a total solar eclipse on April 8, 2024, an occurrence that only happens once a century for this location. Learn the physics and astronomy behind a solar eclipse, cool facts about eclipses, safe ways to view an eclipse, and traditions, myths, and historical occurrences from around the world. For students grades 5th and up and adults.

Library programs are open and beneficial to all. We invite people with physical and/or cognitive disabilities to attend any of our activities and will strive to support individual needs. If you need accommodations to participate, please contact one of our Inclusion Coordinators, Matt Krueger and/or Amy Holland, one week prior to the program.
